The ride starts at the Kolbensattelhütte and stretches over an impressive length of 2,600 metres. Along the way, you will be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views and exciting curves on your ride down into the valley. You can look forward to whizzing down the Kolbensattel at speeds of up to 40 km/h, overcoming an altitude difference of 400 metres.

Fun and action for the entire family
The starting point for this exciting ride is 1,258 metres above sea level at the Kolbensattelhütte in Oberammergau. You can either reach this with the Kolbensesselbahn chairlift or take a leisurely 1.5-hour walk up.
The comfortable two-seater sledge whizzes you down into the valley in 73 curves and at a top speed of 40 km/h. The comfortable seat shells are equipped with high backrests and three-point safety belts. If the speed of 40 km/h is too fast for you, you can regulate the speed of the Alpine Coaster yourself using two brake levers.
Children under the age of 3 are not allowed to ride for safety reasons, while children up to the age of 8 may ride as a passenger with an adult. From the age of 8 and a height of 1.35 m, children are allowed to try out the coaster as “alpine pilots”.
