Climbing area - Frauenwasserl:
The Frauenwasserl is one of the most visited climbing areas in Oberammergau. The “An der Straße” sector was completely renovated by the Oberammergau mountain rescue team. The “Obelix” with its steep climbs is hidden behind trees. Somewhat quieter, but still very rewarding, is the “Nasse Riss”. The “Siesta” sector has become interesting again due to renovation and new routes.
Difficulty: 3 to 10-
Nature conservation: The area lies in the Ammergebirge nature conservation area and in the water protection area. The “Nasser Riss” sector may be closed from January to August due to breeding eagle owls. Please pay attention to the temporary closure due to breeding birds!
